The boat, and the day

Ian Barry has worked these waters his whole life. Puifín runs as a private charter: your party, your route, your pace.

Whales and basking sharks off Doonbeg. Dolphins on the estuary. Seal colonies on the Blasket strand. Where we go depends on the weather and the tide, and we will tell you straight if that is not where you hoped.

Five routes we run regularly. Any of them can be reshaped around your day, or tell us where you would like to go.

Dingle Adventure – Full Day Expedition

A full day through Blasket Sound to Great Blasket Island and Dingle Harbour. Seal colony on the white strand, whales offshore.

Askeaton and Kilrush work to the tide, so sailing times move by about fifty minutes a day. We work yours out around your schedule and confirm it in writing.

Food

Lobster, prawn and salmon platters. Cold meats, Irish brown bread and salads. A board of handpicked Irish cheeses. Homemade apple tart. Vegan and vegetarian on request.

Drink

A handpicked wine list, Champagne and fine Irish whiskeys. Tell us in advance if there is something particular you want poured.

Adare Manor hosts the Ryder Cup in September 2027. We collect at Askeaton, fifteen minutes from the course. Bookings are open for the build-up, the competition, and the weeks either side.
